Alvin Moody:
Musical Director/Bass From New York City, by way of Hampton, Virginia, Alvin
started out very early on the music scene with music mogul
Russell Simmons. Since his start, Alvin has performed with,
toured with, written, produced, and helped launch the music
careers for various artists including Whitney Houston, Cissy
Houston, Cher, Patti Labelle, the late Luther Vandross, Ashford
& Simpson, Jennifer Holiday, Stephanie Mills, Danni Minogue,
Alyson Williams, Gavin Degraw, the Wooten Brother, Jonathan
Butler,and the late Phyllis Hyman to name a few. Alvin is
currently the co-owner and CEO of Juell Records and the Juell
Foundation in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Victor Trent
Cook: Vocals A native New Yorker, Brooklyn born. Victor began
singing at the age of three in his home church. Upon discovery
of his unique talent he was enrolled in the Brooklyn Boys Chorus
School of Musical Training, under the direction of James
McCarthy. He was selected to sing the “Boy Alto Solo” in Leonard
Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms” with the New York Philharmonic,
directed by Zubin Mehta. As Victor’s first professional endeavor
this marketed his career debut. Victor’s journey continued with
his singing as “Boy Soprano Soloist” with renowned conductors
such as James Levine and Seiji Ozawa, and his performing in the
world’s most famous venues, such as The White House, Carnegie
Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, the John F.
Kennedy Center and even sang for the Pope in Rome.
Victor has performed in numerous Off-Broadway productions
including, The Haggahdah, Romance in Hard Times, Little Mighty,
Moby Dick, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Don’t Get
God Started, for which he received rave reviews. More recently
starring in such hits as St. Louis Woman, opposite Vanessa
Williams, and also in Smokey Joe’s Café, for which he was
nominated for a Tony Award.
Victor has been seen touring with Cinderella,
starring Eartha Kitt as well as touring, recording, and
performing as part of the well known ensemble the Three Mo’
Tenors, which also features Rodrick Dixon and Thomas Young.
Victor Cook is a great voice and a talent to be reckoned with.
Tommy
Kessler: Guitar Tommy is a highly versatile guitarist originally from
Ohio. He currently plays with The Blue Man Group in New York
City as well as many other artists and bands around the country.
Tommy is thrilled to be playing guitar for Roz Brown.
Leroy
“Lefty” Thompson: Drummer From Queens, New York, Lefty is an accomplished and
sought after drummer in the field of contemporary gospel, R & B
and Rock n’ Roll music. Home from a recent European tour with
the legendary Gospel Singer Queen Esther Morrow and National
Tour with Octone Recording artist Michael Tocher, he has played
with the Clark Sisters, TD Jakes, Donnie McClurkin, Reverend Run
from Run DMC, Wyclef Jean, Ashford & Simpson, Joss Stone, Gavin
DeGraw, Brownstone, Matthew Garrison, Jason Miles, and Emily
King.
Michael
Turner: Keyboards From Winnipeg, Canada, where at a young age he first
became interested in music education. Now, as a premiere
keyboardists, Michael performs with many different artists both
locally and across the country, recently performing with the
legendary Garth Brooks and Ty England. Michael has also
performed with other artists and groups such as Katrina Elam,
The Marvelettes, Robert Sea and Key West, the Edmond Jazz
Orchestra, the Eric Leonard Band, and the Groove Merchants,
among many others and is also active as a producer, arranger,
and recording engineer with some of his most recent studio
sessions including Toby Keith and Blake Shelton.
Blake Wright:
Guitar From Newberg, Oregon. He pursued an interest in the
guitar and further developed his talent in college where he
studied under jazz guitarist, Danny Vaughan. He also had the
opportunity to tour the southeast region of the United States as
a guitarist for One Voice. Now working under producer, Alvin
Moody at Juell Records, Wright continues to pursue his education
and field experience in the music industry both on-stage and
behind the scenes in writing and production.
Derrick
Kollock: Hair, Makeup, Wardrobe Styling From Brooklyn, New York, Derrick’s hair, makeup and
styling work can be seen on television for the 2008 Tony Awards,
MTV Awards, ESPY Awards for ESPN and Fashion Rocks as well as in
previous years 2005-2007. His broad array of clients for various
CD and magazine covers include The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Jessica
Alba, Gabrielle Union, Joss Stone, Lil Kim, Liv Tyler, Jay-Z,
Martin Short, Panic and the Disco, and Melba Moore to name a
few.
Kevin R.
Free: Director From New York City, Kevin is currently the Director of
Educational Programming at Queens Theatre in the Park. As a
singer and actor, Kevin has created over 50 world premier short
plays for the New York Neo-Futurists and created the role of
Memphis in the Hit Off-Broadway Musical and tour “From My
Hometown.” Kevin’s credits also include being the Assistant
Director of the off Broadway play “Barbara’s Blue Kitchen.”
